BEHIND
THE
BRAND

The term “Anemoic” stems from the word “Anemoia”, coined by The Dictionary Of Obscure Sorrows: a collection of made-up words describing universal feelings lacking a name. Anemoia describes the feeling of nostalgia for somewhere or something you’ve never experienced. When I first found the term, I immediately understood the feeling; my whole life I have been captivated by nature in a way that seemed deeply familiar - even for parts of the world I have never connected with.

I wanted my branding to reflect this notion, so I chose to utilize a recurring symbol in my life for representation. Playful in design, iconic, and easily recognizable, the rainbow trout is a firm favorite of mine. Fish have always evoked anemoia in me, and while I’m not quite sure as to why, I absolutely love exploring it through my art, and I’d be delighted for you to join me!

THIS WAY, TRAVELLER!
